LITTLE BEACH AND LITTLE BEACH BOATHOUSE BAR

First of all, there are many ways to get to Little Beach but the best way that still always takes my breath away, is to come via the Nelson Bay shoreline (along Victoria Rd) and continue along that road, hugging the waterline. There is a short hill rise around Fly Point and the park and then the road comes back down to Little Beach – the views along here are beautiful! It is also a great walk along the foreshore area from the Marina to Little Beach.

The beach is safe for all swimmers especially kids and is a popular place for picnics as the grassed area is so close to the beach. There is also a popular boat ramp and fish cleaning area where pelicans love to gather, hopefully for a treat!

In a previous letter, we mentioned one of our favourite restaurants – Little Beach Boathouse – and it still is – great food, views and service. Well, Little Beach Boathouse Bar is located downstairs and this area is fantastic – the food is more “tapas” size dishes, the views are to die for and there is still the great service plus an extensive range of drinks to suit everyone. If you can make it down there, try to grab a spot before sunset – just magic! Or have a pre-dinner drink downstairs before going upstairs for dinner.

Take a look at the menu here https://littlebeachboathouse.com.au/below-deck/. And the best news is that the outdoor bar area is also dog-friendly.
